Vasilis Adamos was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1988; he lives and works in London, UK. In 2011 he graduated with honors from the department of visual and applied arts of the university of Western Macedonia, where he attended the Sculpture Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Ektor Papadakis.

He was a teacher of silver and gold ware and its technology at the Oreokastro, Thessaloniki, EPAL-EPAS, studies sponsored by OAED (the state unemployment office). There he taught art history, the history of jewelry and the principles of jewelry design (2012-2013).

Since 2011 he has participated in group exhibitions, wood-sculpture symposiums, visual activities and workshops, among which was the “6th Biennale of Students of schools of Fine Arts of Greece” and in the Municipal Art Gallery of Thessaloniki.

Vasilis Adamos, aesthetically prompted by the living and still elements of Nature,
re-inseminates an earlier form of life, creating one of his own.
The ultimate active role in the culmination of the outcome is undertaken as much by the materials and their nature as by the interplay between them.
He uses iron, wood, re-used metal and is mesmerized by the rust of materials, natural or artificial. It’s in this way that he chooses to show the natural flow of things.
His works are polymorphic, he chooses recurring motifs and provides the ability of a extraordinary visual approach to the sculptures from every side, as there is never a dead point in them. The “shell” is always able to reveal life and the esoteric nature of the work. Many times, light too, plays its own important role.
The enlargement of a microcosm and its re-placement in the every-day world under a different light is the basis of his thought and theme.
At the same time and in this way, the audience has a chance to re-evaluate elements and shapes that are constantly met but go unnoticed, over more and different views.
